Welcome to the Ally Pally Runners – The Friendly, Supportive & Social Running group in North London!

We all live locally, enjoy the parks of North London and every Saturday we parkrun at Ally Pally. With more than 500 parkruns amongst us, we want to spread the love for running so that more people will get active and enjoy the benefits of a healthy runner lifestyle.

The group is led by our UK Athletics qualified and experienced endurance coach Urban Bettag. Our coach keeps us safe and delivers fun and fulfilling, inclusive running sessions tailored to our abilities.

The Ally Pally Runners are a small group of dedicated runners at intermediate levels. We train in the surroundings of the beautiful and iconic Alexandra Palace. We meet up on a regular basis for an easy, social run together. Occasionally, we like to mix things up a bit and do something more challenging, such as hill sprints!

The focus of our runs is on aerobic conditioning and we want to promote good running form. Typically, a running session last approx. 50 to 60 minutes. We run at a conversational pace at around 10 minutes per mile (or 6 minutes per kilometer). Those taking part should be at a level of  running for 1 hour and parkrun (Ally Pally) of 27 mins 30 sec and faster. Note, the group is not suitable for beginners or those new to running.

Ally Pally Runners like to keep things simple. No need for bookings, refunds, etc. We are entirely volunteer led. Training with the Ally Pally Runners is free. All you need to bring along is your enthusiasm and take part. What excuse do you have?
