Sue Pearson

To my husbands shock horror, I joined the couch to 5k January 2016. I was very apprehensive, scared, full of what ifs, but I thought, what the hell I'll give it a go. Simon came with me for support, to which now, I am truly grateful. I had never run in my life. (I was the one that avoided all types of sport at school). i turned up like I was going on a polar expedition! And soon realised why runners hardly wear any clothes hahaha. Believe it or not, I was very nervous, but soon realised everyone (well the newbies) all felt the same as me. I hovered at the back with my new found co runners, not wanting to look silly as I tried to do the warm ups that Justine and Dave were demonstrating. Well you can imagine what I felt like after my first outing with the bugs. I can run!!!! I felt like Forrest Gump!!! Well the rest is history, and I can finally say everyone can run. It doesn't matter how old, how big, how small, how fast, how slow, if I can do it anyone can. So what are you waiting for? get your botty of that couch. Don't hibernate for the winter, just because it's cold it's wet, whatever, but do you know what? they are the best conditions to run in. I love the rain!! Come and meet us, we don't bite, we are very friendly and very supportive.
