Joining Bishop's Stortford Running Club
Try before you buy!
You are welcome to try a few sessions before committing to joining. Why not come along, meet a few people, have a run and see if it’s for you. The best session to try is Wednesday evening’s Club night at the Beldams Lane clubhouse. We meet at 7.15pm and go out at 7.30pm. You won’t be left on your own as we always make sure everyone has someone to run with.
Each year we also run a special beginners course, which is a structured programme aimed at taking beginners up to run a 10K in only 10 weeks. Outside of that we can still help you get started in running.
Once you decide you like running with us and would like to join, please download the membership form and return to the Membership Secretary. Annual Club membership is around £55 (on renewal, there is a £5 discount for early payment). Membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
Membership fees are largely to cover our Clubhouse which offers:
- Changing rooms with showers,
- Licensed bar (open on Club night), function room and meeting room
- Kitchen (open on Club night, providing hot food at very reasonable prices)
- Cricket field, used for some of our daylight coached training sessions
(winter evening training takes place under floodlights at Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club)
Membership benefits include an extensive programme of coaching sessions for running and also for biking and swimming (through our multisport section Stortford Tri), Club Events/Races, some more personalized training plans, social functions and some great people to run with.
If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Secretary, Lorraine Evans by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the address below.
