Bude RATs (Running and Tri)

About our group

Welcome to Bude RATs!

Bude RATs is an amateur running club, based in the beautiful North Cornwall seaside town of Bude and has been in existence since 2008.

Thinking of joining? Or just visiting?

Bude RATs welcome anyone with an interest in running who would like to join in on one (or more) of our weekly running sessions.

If you think you might like to join but are not sure, come and give us a try one Tuesday evening. You can find us at the cricket pavilion on Summerleaze Downs around 18:20 (the sessions start at 18:30). Tuesday is our social running evening with several groups going out for runs of differing standards. A couple of groups will do runs of up to 5K with other groups running further/harder.

The co-ordinator for that evening will slot you into a suitable group and the group will love to show you one of our local runs.

It will not cost anything for the first Tuesday evening; thereafter you can either join the Club as a member or just run with us on Tuesday evenings when it is convenient for you for a fee of £1 per evening.

We support runners and tri-athletes at all running levels to achieve their wishes and goals whether it is simply to become healthier and fitter in their lives or complete a particular challenge or race.  We do this through a positive, inclusive, friendly and encouraging environment.

We are accredited to both UK Athletics (UKA) (England Athletics (EA)) and the Association of Running Club (ARC) and, locally, we are part of the Cornwall Road Running Group and Active Cornwall.
