Robert Curtis

I started running in 2016 after losing 3 stone in weight, I was set a goal to run The Eden half marathon. Soon after I completed the half marathon I was encouraged to join Bude Rats. The club are a very supportive friendly group and although I was very quiet and shy I was made to feel very welcome. I have made some life long friends at the club and have participated in several trail races. I want to encourage others to take up running, I also take the Thursday night training sessions on a regular basis although this was completely out of my comfort zone I have taken up the challenge and thoroughly enjoy it, I also want to encourage runners of all abilities to attend training sessions as training is good for all running abilities not just elite runners.
