Abi Swarbrick

Abi started running in her late 20s when she realised that she couldn't get away with eating cake anymore. Her first race was Bloodwise in 2008, she came in last but was so proud to finish she booked another race straight away! Later that year she completed the Great North Run. The next 10 years were up and down with spates of running interspersed with more sedate times. In 2018 she returned to running through the couch to 5k programme and joined a running group. During covid she started coming up with virtual challenges for her running group and then trained as a run leader. She is a qualified UK Athletics Running Coach. Abi loves running with people and having a good chat as she goes and is also a keen canicross participant with her dog Loki (who she also chats to!)
