Chew Valley Snails July 2019 C25K Week 5

Week 5 of C25K......there may have only been 4 of you for todays session, but you all really excelled yourselves!

We were also lucky to have Karen out with us as well where we:

Warmed up with our brisk walk to the 2nd carpark, did our dynamic stretches and 2 Strides followed by:

3 min run/1.5min walk, 5 min run/2.5 min walk 3 min run/1.5min walk, and.....drumroll.....a 6 min run ending with a 5 min cooldown walk & static stretches.

Whilst doing our static stretches, we talked about footwear and the importance of good supportive sports bras (you missed a great show, Gary Tilzey!!).

We Snails use 3 shops in Bristol where if you mention your running club is the Chew Valley Snails, you will get a discount (Up & Running in Henleaze/MOTI on Whiteladies Rd/EasyRunner St Michaels Hill)......please ask any of us run leaders/Snails on our CVS FB page for advice before splashing out.

Very well done everyone! This weeks' homeworks are:

1) After 5 mins brisk warmup walk and dynamic stretches, do a 5 min run/3 min walk x 3 2) After 5 mins brisk warmup walk and dynamic stretches, you have a choice of: i) 2 min run/1 min walk, 3 min run/1 min walk, 4 min run/2 min walk Or: ii) 8 min run/2 min walk Remember to do your cooldown walk and static stretches

No new core strength exercises this week but please practise the standing on each leg (with eyes open & shut), 'pelvic tilts' and The Plank
