C25K Jan-March 2020 Week 5
Week 5 of C25K....a beautiful morning (before storm Ciara swept in - we were very lucky!)
We had a brisk walk to the 2nd carpark where we did our dynamic stretches and introduced squats.
We did 2xStrides
We then ran for 3 minutes, walked for 2 towards the Bittern Trail then ran for 5 1/2 mins on the duckboards. Not only did we focus on how our feet sounded, but we incorporated our arms/relaxed shoulders, shoulders back (£50 between shoulder blades)/keeping upright.....
We all managed a further 4 1/2 mins/3 mins run back to Salt/Malt.
You were then introduced to our trees for calf stretches as well as doing our other static stretches.
We also introduced our core strength exercise of the week - 'Clamshells'
Homeworks for this week:
HW1 - after dynamic warm ups, 3x5min run/3 min walk, end with cooldown walk & static stretches
HW2 - after dynamic warm ups, you can either
a) 2/3/4 min run with a 2 min walk or
b) 8 min run, 2 min walk.
