**Leader Karen**: a flattish run of about 7k starting from the long straight lay-by next to the lake at Herons Green Bay on the B3114 between Chew Stoke and the Blue Bowl pub. This is a relatively easy route (read no major hills!).We will be running along lanes and a long stretch of stony byway to the edge of Compton Martin (we even pass a farm with a moat!), and back via a different mix of lanes. Unfortunately all this run is on hard surfaces due to the ridiculous amounts of water on the fields at the moment, but it will still be a good way to start the day. The bright pink Gromit should make you smile!
