Chorley Runners offers a midweek, daytime beginners running course

Now for something different

CHORLEY RUNNERS ARE PLEASED TO LAUNCH THEIR FIRST MIDWEEK, DAYTIME RUN SESSION.

This will be a once a week beginner running course starting at 10:30 am on Thursday morning, 9th January 2020 at 10:30 am. The course will last for 9 weeks and will meet outside of café Ambio at Astley Hall.

The purpose is to promote the benefits of exercise on the participants Mental Wellbeing through regular exercise and build confidence to potentially run up to 5 k (3miles).

The course is aimed at people who are looking for some support, cannot come out running on an evening due to family commitments or don't like the idea of running at night. Everyone is welcome

This is a beginner #RunAndTalk running course, like Couch to 5 K, with additional coaching and support during the sessions.

The session will be hosted by a Mental Health Champion and licenced Running Coach.

A celebration run will take place at a local parkrun followed by an optional coffee or breakfast.

A certificate of completion will be presented to each participant on completion of the course with the option to purchase a commemorative medal.
