About our group

James Norton Coaching is a Running Coaching and Leadership Organistation, delivering 1:1 Coaching, short courses and Community C ouch to 5k Courses

 

The Original "C25k etc" Program: 

10 week program with 'Supported Parkrun' (one lap or two) as an option for the recommended two other complimentary activities a week. 

1st week is literally just posture and walking. 

2nd week walking and running at walking pace both about 2.5k. 

Then gradually building running vs walking intervals up to 3km

Then gradually extending near continuous running up to 5k.

Lots of emphasis on posture and form and awareness of whole body especially breathing and heart rate to develop steady low impact sustainable pace/form.

We also have a themed debrief every week at the White lion post run: diet, injury prevention, equipment etc.
