Claire Napier

I started C25K somewhat grumpily in February proclaiming I'm not a runner and never will be after sustaining a knee injury causing the muscles in my thigh to waste away. My background is sport of every type such as kickboxing, weight training, boxing, spinning, roller derby, rugby, powerlifting, strongman. I'm jack of all trades master of none! I hate to admit it but I love running, I love the social side, I've made fantastic friends but I also love to feel the sun on my face and admire the poppies and hear the birds sing. Most of all I love the support of the running community as everyone understands how hard it was at the beginning. I've been so enthusiastic I've got my family involved and now the whole family are doing C25K. As a qualified gym instructor and Personal Trainer I just want to help everyone find an activity they enjoy. I never thought for a minute running would be my thing, I sometimes pretend it's a friend that loves running as it's a standing joke amongst my friends that they would never catch me running. Now I can't wait to get out there and enjoy the runners high.
