FAYE JUDSON

After trying to do the Couch to 5K a couple of times by myself and giving up over the past few years.... I decided in October 2019 to join Coxhoe on the Runs Couch to 5k programme. I will be honest and say I very nearly didn't turn up to the the first session! Talked myself in and out of it so many times... I came up with all the excuses I could think of but a little part of me just wanted to do it. I had followed the page for a while and was in awe of the members runs and I could see the benefits far outweighed the obstacles I was trying to put in my own way!!

I can honestly say it's the best thing I did! I would have never kept up with running if it hadn't been for the support of the group. The C25K programme was brilliant. So well supported by run leaders and run helpers alike. There was a massive range of ages and abilities but that didn't matter one bit. Every single person was encouraged and valued.... managing to all complete our 5K Parkrun together.

The people I have met along the way have been wonderful and I feel so lucky to be part of such an fabulous group of people. So friendly and inclusive.... just amazing.

I will never run the fastest or the furthest.... but do you know what.... it doesn't matter. Putting one foot in front of the other is better than nothing at all and if I can help anyone along the way to feel the same I would be over the moon
