About this run

Kick start your fitness with our introduction to running course! Suitable for absolute beginners or those looking for a gradual re-introduction to running or to get fit again. A 9 week course progressing gently, but by the end you'll be able to run continuously for 30 minutes or around 5k. We finish with a timed group run. Please select all 10 sessions when booking and confirm your booking by paying cash at the DEKA shop prior to the start of the course. You'll need to commit to being active 3 times per week for around 30 minutes including our weekly group sessions. We have a Facebook group for support and to arrange meet ups at other times to make sure you keep going! You'll learn how to warm up, cool down and stretch properly plus get lots of technique tips and increase your time and intensity gradually to help prevent injuries. We have had lots of success with runners who have tried running alone but struggled to keep going, don't hesitate to contact me for a chat.
