About our group
I am really looking forward to meeting you on Wednesday 27th February 2019 at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start for the first sesssion of the Falkland House C25K Group. The aim is to help you with improving your fitness and to get you to run 5 kilometres after 10 weeks. You may not think that this is possible, but it is. And you can have fun at the same time with a group of supportive people. In case you are worried it must be emphasised that there is nothing competitive about this activity. The only person you are challenging is yourself. We will start off gently - with a walk! We will then gradually build up trying out different routes.
The course will be led by myself, a reluctant runner. I came to physical activity very late in life having always hated sport at school and preferring the life of a sloth. Having fallen into running I was astonished to find that it had become a habit and even more astonished when I became a member of a running club. I now have a certificate in Leadership in Running Fitness. So, if I can do it, anyone can!
