"...I started running for the first time ever when I saw the big 40 approaching! I started undercover of darkness running one lamppost to another, built up slowly to 5k and then decided to do a 10k! I picked up an injury and went back to not running until a friend signed me up to the striders 5k to 10k group. From there I joined Striders and the encouragement of the group has helped me to run some amazing routes. I have done several half marathons, trail runs and relays. I love social running and my favourite thing is to meet up with friends to explore a new route. I also enjoy the freedom of taking myself off for a run alone to clear my head. Learning to run properly has kept me injury free and it is now an essential part of my life, I couldn't imagine not running now!! See you all soon Zoe..."
