Pam Anderson

How did you get into running?
I began walking to get fit and then I met a member of MileShy who was tailwalking at Parkrun and she kept me company on the way round that day. As she talked to me she asked about my story and she then invited me to attend MileShy club. Feeling very nervous and quite ridiculous I turned up, to say it was the best thing I have ever done sounds dramatic but is true. It has turned my life round. I had never run or even exercised, I was almost 59 and overweight. I worked hard and did the C25k programme and four months later completed a 10k, seven months after that a Half Marathon. I now love coaching and specialise in beginner runners.

What is your favourite event and why?
My favourite events are the graduation runs when our C25k achieve their first 5k, and also the Goody bag Parkruns where our graduates run their first Parkrun.

What else do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I love being with family and friends. I love anything that involves the MileShy family, whether that be participating in events, supporting or just socialising.
