Welcome to our running group

About our group
Norsuf Running Group is part of Run Together; free to join free to run.
We are a friendly group dedicated to beginners and improvers. Encouraging the community around Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft to take up walking, jogging or running to improve their physical and mental health.
Our FREE beginners running coaching meets on a Tuesday evening at various locations. It is for people who would like to improve their knowledge and skills as a runner reducing risk of injury. Each session is a combination of coaching, walking and jogging to build up knowledge, strength, stamina and confidence. The maximum group size will be 16 and places can be booked here; https://groups.runtogether.co.uk/NorsufRunningGroup/Runs
Our FREE couch to 5km courses are over 8-weeks. They follow a proven programme to take walkers to joggers and runners. There is one group session which you will be required to repeat twice during the week in your own time.
We meet-up at local parkruns to support each other and perhaps a post run social at the cafe. parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km walk, jog or run. Taking part or volunteering is easy. Register, print barcode, turn up and take part. http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/form/ Your running club can be selected as NORSUF RG.
Our FREE Sunday group runs cover longer distances and may offer a training programme towards a specific event. The routes will allow you to expolore the local area, perhaps discovering new places and foothpaths.
Activity can be more fun if you are supported by a friendly group. As the group numbers build there will be opportunity to increase distance and take part in events together as a group. There will also be a need to train others to become Run Leaders.
