If you’ve ever thought about running but aren’t really sure where to start, here’s your chance!

Plymouth Active Leisure is looking for womne to join its new Couch 2 5K  running group – and its FREE!

Couch to 5k is a 9 week running programme designed for absolute beginners looking to build up to running the Run Plymouth 5km race at the end of the programme on Sunday 28 April.

To start, C25K mixes walking, running, and jogging to get you going. As you progress through the programme and your fitness improves, you’ll start running more and walking less.

By the end of the programme, you should be able to run 5km at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Experienced running leaders will be on hand to motivate and give tips on everything from running style to suitable clothing and footwear.

Sessions start on Tuesday 27 February at 6.30pm meeting at Plymouth Life Centre, Café. This group is open to women only (16+) and suitable for all abilities. Participants will receive a free hot or cold drink after the session.
