About our group

Redditch STARS
(Sunday Training And Running Sessions)
is a mixed ability affiliated running club catering for runners who are looking to improve or just after some like minded people to run with.
Meeting at the Abbey Stadium the routes will use the parks and paths of Redditch and surrounding areas to improve your fitness with at least one qualified Coach In Running Fitness or Leader In Running Fitness in attendance.
There are 5 permanent sessions. You should be able to run 5km comfortably before attending any of the sessions.

The Sunday group meets at 9.30am. This session involves speed work, hills, distance and trail runs.

The Tuesday night group meets at 6.30pm.
This session is ideal for building up your stamina and fitness and is ideal for c25k graduates and seasoned runners alike.

The Wednesday night session at 6.30pm meets at the Abbey Stadium and is our track session. As well as working on speed and speed endurance for adults we also run two junior sessions  catering for all abilities of children aged from 7-11 and 12+. All leaders and coaches are DBS checked and cleared to work with children.

The Thursday session meet at 7pm and concentrate on running trails, canals and country lane routes in the summer and distance in the winter sticking to well lit paths and roads. The meeting place for this group will be announced weekly on Facebook.

The Saturday session meets at 830am, various locations and is aimed at people training for half or full marathons. Meeting place announced weekly on Facebook.

STARS also run the successful c25k groups which many of our current members have come from. Following on from this group there will also be 5-10k progression groups. Please see the FB page for details of both of these sessions.
