About our group
Hi All, I live in Torbay where you'll agree the opportunities to run are endless, from flat beaches to hill climbs and scenic villages and parks we are spoilt for choice.
I first became interested in running thanks to my mum who highlighted a newspaper article on what was then Women's Running Network, they are now Women on the Run, with their help and support I changed from a 10 minute bimbler to a proud achiever of 4 marathons and at least 20 halfs, raising money for charities along the way.
Because of the way RunTogether is organised allowing me freedom to extend my runs I am offering two free runs to ladies and gents, this will be open to my current ladies who run on Saturdays with Women on the Run. These new runs are to be held on Wednesday evenings and Thursday's early morning.
My aim now having completed a qualification aligned to British Athletics is to pass on skills, more recently we attended coaching and nutrition talks from specialists in their fields and this adds to a varied running experience I can offer you. Taking a Triathelete Group on a Sunday morning also I combine core training to traditional running techniques to create a lively program.
I am also a fully qualified Health Coach, have been a regular columnist on health matters for Signposts Magazine, with a Foundation Degree in Exercise, Science and Fitness I enjoy talking about the subject.
