Rochford Running Club

About our group

Rochford Running Club (RRC) was formed in 2012 to serve the community of Rochford (Essex) and the surrounding area.  From humble beginnings the Club has now grown substantially and has gained affiliation with the national governing body, England Athletics.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned ultra-marathon runner, there is a place for you at RRC.  Our beginner groups take those new to the sport from not running at all up to 3 miles continuously  in 12 weeks (or sooner).  Those that catch the bug move into the 'improvers' groups, with many signing up for, and completing, their very first competitive races.

Those aiming for more demanding events, such as the London Marathon, will also find the help, advice and assistance they need to cover the distance come race day.  We have several experienced members who have completed a number of endurance events - all of whom are keen to show others how to take on an extreme challenge.

Our Club Nights are every Tuesday and Thursday night at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.  We run a number of different sessions in a variety of locations, suitable for all standards, with sessions led by qualified running leaders.  See the 'RRC Running Nights' link for more information.
