C25K - Week 8

My sincere apologies for the lateness of the news, but had OFSTED this week, so have either been at work or sleeping!!

The session was the first attempted long run, with very impressive results. The aim was for a 20 minute run without breaks, although in my mind I did wonder whether it may need breaking down into shorter blocks, as had been done previously.

It was a colder night than previous sessions, showing that we are nearing to winter. After warming up in the car park at the cricket club, we ran staright from the club, and then used the circuit round Royton up to the Junction pub, and then round by Lidl. Everybody coped well and I'm feeling confident that the 5k will be completed in a few weeks times, as despite having a smaller group than last time, people who are attending are putting the effort in.

Due to the lateness of this report, hopefully by now you will have done your homework and next week's session will be a slightly longer run (in time) but will be split into 2 reps.

See you all Monday.

Simon
