About our group
Hello and welcome to my Run Together group which is based in the beautiful High Peak. My name is Anna Aspinall, I'm a qualified running Coach (CiRF), Leader in Run Fitness (with training in fell running) as well as a Whaley Bridge junior parkrun Run Director and a qualified Canicross Instructor.
I am an experienced fell runner and I have competed in triathlons and duathlons and enjoy riding my road and mountain bikes.
I didn't start running until I was 30, I decided to run the Manchester 10km after losing weight, I found that I loved it and have never looked back. Running has transformed my life in the best way! To read more about me, check out my blog here.
I aim to run groups open to all, regardless of ability, age, gender or experience - and I don't avoid hills! I believe that the rewards and benefits of getting out into the countryside are both physical and mental and aim to get people running varied routes regularly with like minded individuals. Whilst we may start out on the flat, we will eventually progress to hillier, more rewarding routes.
I can offer two types of groups - one aimed at 0-5km runners who have either never run before or who want to start again after a period of not running.
The second is aimed at improvers - people who regularly run 5-10km and would like to learn more technical skills and routes - this is my regular Monday group.
All of my sessions will be 30 minutes to an hour and a half in length and will start in Whaley Bridge from the football pitches.
