About our group
We are a friendly and supportive Club who welcome runners of all abilities. New beginners start with a simple programme of walking and running to the point where they can run for 30 mins non-stop. From there the sky is the limit and many of our runners stay with us to progress on to participate in Parkrun, 10k, half marathon, marathon races and beyond! All you need is a decent pair of trainers and the determination to get your kit on and get out there!
The Club is led by Jim Adams, who is a licensed Coach in Running Fitness, supported by a team of coaches and run leaders. We run for the enjoyment of being out in the fresh air in the beautiful area we live in and we hope you will too!
Please note: - You need to be a member of Stroud & District Athletic Club to take part in any of our training sessions. More information is available on our club website here. We do allow runners to attend up to 3 sessions before joining the club.
