About our group
Hello my name is Jill and i’d like to welcome you to Run Walk Run Together.
My running journey started in October 2016 after I decided I would love to take part in the GNR the following year. I was 56, overweight and totally unfit, but I was determined I would succeed. I joined a lovely group of ladies and they helped and supported me to progress from running from one lamppost to the next lamppost, to running a half marathon at the GNR which is a day I will remember for the rest of my life 😊. I then went on to complete a leadership training course to become a run leader.
Fast forward to February 2018 and Run Walk Run Together was born. We run, we walk and repeat (known by some people as The Galloway method or Jeffing) we may only run for 30 seconds at a time or less which is manageable by most people, working up to a ratio which would suit individuals. Run Walk Run is perfect for those that feel they can’t run for one reason or another, for those that just have no confidence to run, for those that might be returning to running after an injury, or like me that wants to run a Marathon when i’m 60 and feels that Run Walk Run would be better than trying to run the whole thing 😱
The group sessions are free, so if you would like to join us and give Run Walk Run a try, we would love to see you and you will be made very welcome. No one will ever be left on there own at the back, we will Run Walk Run Together 😊
