About our group
Do you love running? Do you want to love running? Do you think you’d never love running in a million years but are willing to be proved wrong by a group of like-minded people?
Running Jo’s has been going since September 2018. We have a range of weekly runs from beginners who have never run before (or certainly not since school days) but would love to start to those who want to improve their running over 5 and 10k.
Running Jo’s is led by me, Jo Wilkinson. I've been running for over 30 years and have lots of experience as a runner and coach. I am a former Great Britain athlete who has competed over 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon but like you, I know the challenge of fitting running into a busy life with work, family and a hundred other commitments. When I'm not running groups I'm often to be found at my local Parkrun with over 100 Parkruns to my name as a volunteer and park runner. I am a fully qualified and licensed British Athletics Endurance Coach and have experience with beginners through to more serious runners. But most importantly of all I just really just love running and want to share that enthusiasm with you.
All of the groups are fun and friendly and no one is ever left behind because Running Jo’s is about loving running with a great group.
