I joined Trotters in the summer of 2016 to get me out and about and see what I could do after I was told that I would not be able to do much exercise after a couple of knee operations I had a few years ago.
I took it very gently to begin with and soon saw that I was progressing well. I decided to enter a couple of local events once I realised I could do this and have not looked back since.
I decided to become a qualified Run Leader myself so I could give back to others and the community I live in by helping and encouraging others to get and stay fitter.....we have various ages and abilities with many of us over 50 years old which is a joy to see and it always makes me smile to see others enjoying and achieving their own goals.
