I have been with Trotters since the beginning and I joined to keep active and to help with my asthma and fibromyalgia.
As it was a walk, jog run group I knew that I would be able to keep up! As the group got more popular I helped Sarah out as an assistant initially before going onto qualify as a Run Leader.
Through this I have found that I CAN run ...... not very fast but I can do it and I have completed a number of 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons now.
Without joining this group I would never have thought that me, the 50 plus something with long term health conditions could jog let alone run AND also help others by leading sessions myself as a volunteer Run Leader for the group.
