I joined Valley Hill Runners after meeting Bev Sutton at our local parkrun (Concord). I thought I wasn't fast enough to run for a club - how wrong I was! With amazing support from all at Valley Hill I now pass on what I have learned, through doing my Run Leader and Coaching courses, to new and current members of the club. My greatest pride comes from seeing beginners and 'seasoned' runners improve each week and achieve much more than they ever thought possible. The perception of running clubs is that they are for the elite, fast, competitive runners. I make it my mission to show that it doesn't matter how fast you run, only that you run, keep on trying, give your best and enjoy it. Its not meant to be easy but anything worthwhile is not easy, and I love running for cake, tea and a beer, whats not to like?
