Julie Pegoraro

Name: Julie Pegoraro Running for how long: Since June 2014 after I turned 40 (it's never too late to start). How did you get into running: Someone said I wouldn't be able to do it. I saw that as a challenge and downloaded the c25k app. I couldn't find anyone locally to run with back then so headed out solo. I then found the Verwood runners group on facebook the day I ran my first mile. What's your best experience of running so far: Running that first 5k was a great feeling but for me it's the amazing people it has brought into my life. Many of them are now some of my closest friends. We won't mention cake and medals ;-) What type of music do you run too: It depends on my mood but I tend to run without music but when I do it has to have a good bass line. What do you get up to on a typical weekend: parkrun, a race here and there, family time and losing myself in a good book. What's the best thing about Verwood Runners: Everyone is ready and willing to support one another no matter what ability you are. The support network is brilliant. Give one unusual fact about yourself: My mum has to share her Birthday with me, as I wanted to make an early appearance. What makes you laugh: Everything and anything.
