Why Not

Why Not  is a brand new  group organised by Tim and Sue who are committed to helping people get active, improve their physical and mental wellness by making running a fun social activity that's accessible and inclusive to all regardless of shape, size, ability, disability, age, ethnicity and culture.

The group is for all abilities with Tim organising out and back, loop runs. Sue and Kerry will be with the beginners or those returning to running who feel they would benefit from the support gained running within a group.  Many people are anxious about taking up or getting back into exercise.  Don’t be. We are all in the same boat.  Taking it one step at a time.  Together.  We all run at our own pace and nobody is left behind or runs alone.

Sue is a Mental Health Champion with RunTogether and will be organising specific runs for #runandtalk.

Each member will have their own personal goals but if you run as part of a group you are more likely to succeed in reaching your goals. 

If you’re a beginner you don’t need specialised running shoes to get started just comfortable clothes and a pair of comfy trainers.  

As the nights draw in we will need to wear a Hi Viz Jacket / Vest and torch. The club will have some to borrow until you decide to buy.  

 We meet on Tuesdays at Tarleton Cricket Club, Carr Lane Tarleton PR4 6BU 6.15 for a 6.30 start for an hour then a post run brew/water and fruit. One of us will be in the car park and one in the club room where you can leave bags and keys.

Our sessions and runs are free. However, to cover the cost of post run brew/water and fruit and room hire we ask for £2 payable when you arrive or on line at https://groups.runtogether.co.uk/WhyNot/Runs
