Couch to 5K

The start date for this course is 28/04/19. For adults (16+) who are new to running or haven't run for a long time, this 9 week Couch to 5k is a great place to start. It's also ideal for beginners taking part in Race for Life this summer. C25K is a gentle introduction designed to take you progressively from a non-runner, to being able to jog steadily for approximately 30 minutes, or a distance of 5km. This is achieved by completing three regular short sessions of walking & jogging per week & everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace. The sessions will be led by fully qualified England Athletics Coaches and Run Leaders on Sundays and Tuesdays and will include a warm up and a cool down with stretches. To get the most benefit out of the programme, the third session will need to be completed in your own time. Don't worry if you can't attend every session, but come along as often as you can. The fee for the 9 week course is £10.00, payable at the first session.
