Nick Astin
In September 2018, after realising how long it had been since I'd done any real exercise and how unfit I'd become, I decided it was time to do something about it. Nervously joining the C25K program and not knowing what to expect, my fears soon disappeared as I not only completed it but absolutely loved it. Since completing the C25K I enjoy Park Runs, I've done several 10k races and I'm determined to complete a half marathon. Joining Ossy Joggers has been one of the best things I've ever done, not only for keeping fit and being active, but the social side as well and meeting new people. My advice to anyone thinking of joining would be: it's so much easier running in a group than on your own. Once you've made that initial decision to step out the front door and meet up with a group, the hardest part is done. Fun Fact: I don't care how cold it is, I'm never wearing men's leggings. They just don't look right!
