Paul Lambert

Fun fact: served in the Territorial Army for nine years in 207 Field Hospital (Manchester) as a Combat Medical Technician, attained the rank of Corporal. Much to my surprise I won Best Male Recruit on my Recruit Course at Keogh Barracks, Aldershot.

Best advice: the body achieves what the mind believes and always try to remain positive.

Running Journey: I joined Ossy Joggers in January 2017 to support my wife Jackie who wanted to get fit and lose weight and had decided to join the C25K programme. At the time I preferred to keep fit by going out on my mountain bike and was not really into running. I had completed a half marathon about 30 years ago and vowed 'never again'. However Jackie was determined to see it through and I can honestly say it's the best decision I/we made to stick with it. I have completed several 5K & 10K runs and recently became a Run Leader, I really enjoy running with our OJ family, encouraging others to achieve their goals, you couldn't wish to meet a nicer bunch of people who I now call friends.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the other Run Leaders for their help, support and encouragement on my running journey 👍🏻
