About our group
RIVERSIDE STRIDERS are a friendly, mixed, award winning running group that welcomes all new runners, We are a group of runners of varied abilty from 5k and onwards, Our qaulified Run leaders set out planned sessions to suit the ability of every runner.
We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30pm at the Riverside Leisure Complex, Chester-le-Street. (by the roundabout situated just next to the running track). Winter sessions vary october - march, see sessions available for info.
Our Run leaders plan sessions that are different each week to improve and enjoy your running.
We are linked with local County Durham free couch to 5k courses for those beginning to run. we can point you towards this option if you want to build confidence before joining our group. Our Run leaders attend these courses and give support in your progression throughout and joining our group.
