After running alone for several years, I went along to a local parkrun and very soon afterwards joined Oakwell Running Bears. The group were friendly, welcoming and encouraging and very quickly my running improved. Joining the group gave me the support and confidence to qualify as a Leader in Running Fitness and I now want to share my experience and give something back by supporting others who would like to run or return to running but need the support of a group in order to do so. Running is a fun way to get fit, great for both the mind and body and a brilliant way to build new friendships.
