Emma Lockwood

I started running in 2015 after having a few too many alcoholic beverages and signing up for a 10k. I was always the kid at school who looked for any excuse to evade sports day but from that day on I have never looked back. I started running regularly, discovered parkrun and went on to run many other 10ks, a marathon and even had a bash at a couple of half ironmans! I joined a local running club and became a run leader in 2017 and loved seeing other people enjoy their running and the social aspect of being in a club. I am well known for my love of running up hills and love trying to convince others that hills are our friends! (I've not had much luck on that one....) Since having my little girl in 2021 I just run for fun and so I joined Birstall Runfit to help motivate me to get going again!
