Evonne Day

I was one of those people who always said that ' I couldn't even run for a bus' when talking to anyone about running, little did I know that a few years later I would have actually completed a marathon. My running journey started with the couch to 5K app. Initially I just wanted to be able to run for 30 mins, however once I had accomplished this I realised that I didn't want to lose the ability to do this. In order to maintain my running I realised that I needed the continued structure of running regularly so I joined my local running club and I haven't looked back since. With the encouragement of my club, and the friendly members, my running has progressed and has seen me run various different distances culminating in the marathon in 2023.
I decided to become a run leader so that I can encourage and support other runners to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
