Runner Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to register with RunTogether to come along?

Yes, for all events advertised on RunTogether, please register and RSVP to let us know that you're coming.

The information collected is primarily used for safety of both Runners and Run leaders, as well as administrative purposes to allow run leaders to contact you regarding your booking, any changes or cancellations. Any other information you provide as part of your registration helps develop and improve the service provided to all runners – this data is also anonymised. The data you provide is stored securely and you can find more information on why we collect data, how it’s used, and more at: https://runtogether.co.uk/privacy-centre/

  • Can I come along for a taster session to see if this group is right for me?

Yes! Please feel free to sign up to any of our activities, with no obligation or commitment. Our group is very friendly and welcoming, and run leaders are keen to support everyone so we all have a positive experience.

For any questions or suggestions about how we can make a session accessible to you, or any post-run feedback about what went well and how we could improve, please get in touch via our contact form.

  • Can I come along to a Bristol Frontrunners run with my dog?

Unfortunately, Canicross is not recognised by UK Athletics (UKA), the body that  licences the group's running coach, and therefore, the UKA public liability policy, which covers all qualified run leaders and coaches, does not apply to Canicross activities.

Runners should also not be accompanied by a dog when taking part in runs.

  • Ages of runners taking part in RunTogether groups

Our group and run leader holds a Leadership in Running Fitness qualification, which provides insurance cover that includes being able to cater for runners aged 12 years old and above. Runners aged between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and each individual attending must register with RunTogether.

ngland Athletics does not recommend that children under 12 years of age take part in RunTogether group runs, and group leaders cannot be responsible for them during the sessions.
