ABOUT TRAINING

Training sessions at Burnden aim to support you in your running by offering a variety of activities each week that will meet your needs, whether you are…

• training for a specific race in the club championship

• seeking a less intensive session, as you recover from a race the day before

• seeking a specific type of session, e.g. hill training or interval training

• new to running

• wanting to build up to a certain distance/achieve a certain pace per mile

• returning to running after an injury


MONDAY

BURNDEN MAIN TRAINING NIGHT

Sessions are available each Monday at 7pm at Smithills Sports Centre (except Bank Holidays), we have sessions available for all abilities, with effort sessions, run sessions, and New Beginners.

The Beginners Group for those who are new to running or returning to running after injury will be retuning soon.

TUESDAY

BOLTON ARENA COMMUNITY RUN GROUP

Sessions are every Tuesday morning at 10am at Bolton Arena, Horwich. Free track session for all Burnden members and the community, great session put on by our coach Andy Dunleavy to support more people to be active alongside other great opportunities at both the Arena and our great club

To join us simply turn up and let reception know you want to join the community track session, they will provide you with a log in for the Bolton Arena app to then book on each week,

WEDNESDAY

1 FOOT ON THE TRACK

1 foot on the track meet at Levehulme Park every Wednesday at 7pm. Find out more by joining their facebook group

SATURDAY

PARKRUN

Meet other Burnden runners at your local parkrun at Bolton, meeting every Saturday at 9am.


SUNDAY

 Sunday sMilers meet every Sunday morning (unless a race is taking place) ideal training sessions for the Spring Marathon.
