Our Run Sessions

Cool Runnings UK have several weekly run sessons based in Winchester, Southampton, Eastleigh and Virtually online.  The majority of last approx 1 hour.  The sessions are made up of at least 3 sections: Warm up, Main Session and Cool Down. 

  1. The Warm up usually lasts about 10 minutes. - dynamic warm up, usually coupled with an ice breaker and an overview of the session.
  2. The Main Session usually lasts about 40 minutes (of which is the group led run) - run is usually about 5-7K, the session is always designed that its suitable for all abilities.  On coaching sessions this main part will target specific techniques with drills, or strength & conditioning, speed, endurance sessions for example.  We also include games that support in your running fitness.
  3. The Cool Down usually lasts about 10 minutes. - static cool down stretching, to help aid recovery and usually coupled with a session re-cap.

 All sessions are supported by England Athletics Leaders and Coaches, qualified in First aid, Safeguarding and Mental Health Awareness in Sports Training
