This year's charitable goal is to raise £5,000 for MIND, and support the England Athletic's #RunAndTalk initiative aimed at improving the understanding of mental health, removing the stigma, and promoting the benefits of running.
Our third Monday Night Run of each month, is a Dash (and Talk) Monday Night Run, where we place greater focus on mental wellbeing by encouraging Dashers to start a conversation with someone new. In addition, the fees for any post-run Yoga session we run on those 3rd Mondays will go towards our fund raising for MIND.
Other ways in which we'll be seeking to achieve our goal and support RunAndTalk include:
- An optional £1/week "Monday Night Run" payment to go towards our £5000 MIND fund raising target. Payable for a Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, or a Year using the "View our Group Runs" button below.
- Fun fund-raising challenges throughout the year that help create connections between members outside of the regular sessions, whilst expanding the opportunities to benefit from running.
- Event-based fund-raising by those wanting to support Mind whilst achieving their own personal "Fitter, Faster, Further" goals, e.g. 5km, 10km, half-marathon, marathon, or Ultras.
- Providing 5k, 10k, 15k, and half marathon running routes around local parks to encourage people to get outdoors and enjoy our green space, including a "Dash (and Talk) in the Park" Event Week.
