Paul Whitehurst

I started running for a couple (maybe 3 reasons), to help quit smoking, to help with my Anxiety and to be healthy(ish). My love with running started in April 2014 with a run (mainly walk) in East Park (Hull) with my sister....wasn't too enamoured with it, walked for a lot of the parkrun course in about 34 minutes. Fast forward nearly four years and my Personal Best at all parkruns is 22:32....which weirdly was at Dalby Forest parkrun! I was diagnosed with anxiety about 6 years ago and running has really helped me....so much so I became an England Athletics Mental Health Ambassador. I was delighted to set up Morley Run Club after we were asked by British Triathlon's GoTri initiative to start a beginner run course in July 2017. I don't want to write too much and bore you to death so; I'm an England Athletics Leader in Running Fitness, Run Leader Mentor, Guide Runner for the Visually Impaired and I'm also a Triathlete and Level 2 British Triathlon Coach
