Peel Road Runners

Peel Road Runners have been running on the roads, paths and tracks around Tamworth since the Club was founded in 1991. We try to cater for everyone, from social runners through to ultra runners. Our members have a wealth of knowledge that they are happy to share with others in our informal, supportive and very friendly Club.

New members are always welcome and we look forward to welcoming you along.

Our social club runs are every Tuesday and Thursday evening, meeting at The Snow Dome in Tamworth. Ideally, we meet up in the reception area at 7pm ready to head out at 7.15pm. The distance for a social club runs is around 6 miles (10k) so we recommend that you are comfortable running this distance before joining in with a club run evening -you don't have to be fast we cater for a wide range of abilities.

Our Club colours are black and yellow and annual membership is currently £27, which includes affiliation to England Athletics. New members pay £45 in their first year, which includes their Club vest.

Before joining, we would recommend you attend at least four Club Runs to find out if we are the right fit for you. Please note, we do not charge for attending our Club Runs, so once you’ve paid your subs, Club nights are free to attend as and when you want – just turn up and join in! (No need to book on RunTogether).

#RunAndTalk

We support England Athletics' #RunAndTalk programme by hosting #RunAndTalk events twice a year and having our own Mental Health Champions at the club. We aim to get people talking about mental health, sharing their experiences and removing stigma, raising awareness of mental health problems and supporting people experiencing people with mental health problems to be physically active through running whether that be supporting them in starting, returning or continuing to run.
