About our group
This is a 6 week running course aimed at those who want to get from 5k to 10k in a relaxed and easy going environment.
The course is suitable for the following: High body mass index, post natal and breastfeeding Mums or returning to running as part of injury recovery and novice runners.
We will do a mix of running at varying speeds and terrain, the run distance increases over the weeks. We run as fast as someone who is walking a fast pace. This makes the distance achievable for everyone. After the 6 weeks, we will celebrate with a 10k event locally.
The cost of the course is £15 per person for the whole 6 weeks, equivalent to £2.50 per session.
You will need the following equipment before you start, or at least by week 4: running shoes fitted by a sports specialist, good sports bra, comfortable layers to take off as you get warm. Please save your pennies, you don't need much to start but the shoes are a must.
We meet at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm depart, we'll be finished by 8.30pm.
You need to commit to attending at least 5/6 of the sessions plus at least two homework runs each week. I will help you with this.
I have lead this course for 4 years, I always enjoy every one of them. We have lots of fun, nobody is left behind and we all support eachother.
