About our group

Couch to 5km group. GO FROM COUCH TO 5KM Our Couch to 5K exercise plan is the perfect way to getting started with running. It's designed to get inexperienced or out-of-practice runners off of the sofa and completing 5K without stopping. With physical and mental health benefits, running is an excellent way for anyone to get more active and enjoy a boost to their mood. So, why not try the Couch to 5K plan? You never know - you could go from couch potato to regular jogger! With two trained England Athletics coaches. About us We are a friendly running group based in Stockport and welcome all abilities to join us for pleasure or to achieve personal goals. We have three groups running; Monday's SK Starters Couch to 5km Head over to SK Striders group for Monday's" Keep Me Going" Group - These runs are for you if you generally run at least twice per month and feel comfortable running/jogging around 5km without stopping. Head over to SK Striders group for Thursday's "Challenge Me" - These run sessions are for runners who typically run at least once every week and are looking to increase their pace and / or running distance.
