About our group
We are a running group welcoming runners of all levels. Some members are looking for low intensity healthy exercise and wanting to progress from walking to running, others are returning from injury while some want to progress to 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and marathons. We welcome all abilities to take part at your own pace.
Our training sessions are twice weekly on Thursday evenings at 6.30 for a flat run along the seafront and at 9.00 on Sunday mornings, near the foot of Beachy Head for a more varied session - including some hills... We also have three Extra sessions. On Tuesdays, there are two choices - a speedy session at 6pm or an easy social run at 7pm and on Sundays starting a 8am for a longer run for distance runners.
Sometimes we may meet at different locations to avoid other events. Do contact us for more details. The first session is free and thereafter we hope you join our England Athletic club for an annual £10.- fee.
The group leader, Pam, has a Coach in Running Fitness qualification and is a keen supporter of parkrun. She is supported by Coach Ian and Run Leaders Nick, Debbie and Ian K.
