About our group
SRR is an England Athletics affiliated ladies only running club. We meet twice a week in the evenings - Tuesday 6.30pm and Thursday 7pm, our base is Leyland Leisure Centre.
South Ribble Runners, like many voluntary groups are dependent on our Coaches, Leaders and volunteers who keep each group running smoothly.
In each group we use a simple system known as "looping back" this is used to enable all standards of runners to exercise together. This allows mixed ability groups and still provides a challenge for the faster runners but supports those who need to go at a slower pace. We will always have a Leader at the back to ensure you are never left behind.
No matter which group you attend, you can be sure of a friendly welcome, support and encouragement.
Beginniners Groups at run throughout the year, usually starting in September & January, please contact us for details on the next course we are running. All sessions are free and run by UKA Qualified Coaches & Leaders in Running Fitness.
