I have been running on a regular basis now for the past ten years. I got the running bug after entering the Great North Run with friends and as an aid to lose some weight. Since then I have entered many races, on road, trail and at all distances including Ultra Marathons up to 100k distance. After running 36 marathons I have now decided to drop back down to the shorter distance races and concentrate on those. I gained my run leader qualification five years ago and enjoy seeing other runners transform from 'couch potato' to athlete!"
